Qatar's rise to prominence in the global energy sector could not have come at a more important time. Rapid economic development in non-OECD countries is driving sustained, and long-term demand growth for all forms of energy. In this speech to the 20thWorld Petroleum Congress, Shell CEO Peter Voser says it is clear natural gas is going to have to play an even bigger role in the future energy mix, both to meet increased demand and mitigate environmental stresses. Qatar, with major natural gas resources, is well-positioned to play an important role in meeting our future energy needs.
